Here's everything you need to know about what four popular children's soft play areas in Northampton will be doing when lockdown restrictions ease on May 17.

Prime minister Boris Johnson announced on Monday (May 10) that the country will be sticking to its roadmap and easing lockdown restrictions on Monday (May 17), which includes reopening indoor play.

Here's what the play areas said:

Berzerk Leisure, in Moulton Park

Berzerk said it will be reopening on Monday.

The play area will be operating two 2.5 hour play sessions on Monday – Thursday 9am-11.30am and 12pm-2.30pm.

It will also have three 2.5 hour play sessions Friday-Sunday and everyday during May Half Term 9am-11.30am, 12pm-2.30pm and 3pm-5.30pm.

You do not need to book in advance, just turn up.

John Fletcher, managing director of Trilogy Leisure, said: “Our members and the wider Northampton community have been incredibly patient this year as they wait to get back to soft play.

"Our campaign to encourage local people that it is their time to shine will now see children able to experience soft play for the first time in 2021.”

A Boost spokesman said the trampoline park will be opening on Monday and that some changes to the site have been made.

The spokesman said: "We are re-opening with some changes to the customer journey.

"We will also be reopening our most recent attractions such as the Rat Run and Strike arenas plus we have some amazing additions being added soon.

"We have also revamped our menu in the cafe and updated the feel in this area.

"Alongside all of these things, we are still maintaining high standards and ensuring we offer a Covid-safe environment for staff and guests.

"All of our teams are excited to be able to reopen again and invite everyone in."

Tickets start at £10 and there are multiple different sessions on offer including Friday evening event night, fitness dodgeball classes and more.

The Hub will be reopening on Monday.

But for at least the first month, it will only be able to operate at half its usual capacity and the business will be unable to host birthday parties until later in the year, once the rule of six and social distancing are abolished.

Speaking to The Chron on April 29, The Hub owners said: "We are very excited and a lot of other people are excited as much as we are.

“We are literally counting down the days until we can reopen.

“We have been very busy during lockdown as we have spent five months building a new two-storey role play house, which includes a beauty parlour, a restaurant and a couple of chill out rooms.

“We have also just taken a delivery of an interactive sandbox, which is state-of-the-art for sensory play and we have refurbished all the areas for the little ones.

“It will look totally different when people come back and see it again. It will also feel more spacious due to reduced capacity.”

The play area, formerly known as Hullabaloo, said it will be reopening on Monday.

They wrote: "Exciting news! We will be opening from the May 17 and our booking system is now live. Make sure you book your tickets!"
