Members of a Northampton band responsible for the ‘world’s most valuable privately press LP’ will be celebrating the 50th anniversary next month.
July 9, 2022 sees the 50th anniversary of DARK entering Northampton’s Military Road studio to record what would later become the world’s most valuable privately press LP – ‘DARK Round the Edges’.

Regularly beating albums by The Beatles, Stones, David Bowie and Pink Floyd in charts of the most valuable LPs, the album is considered the Holy Grail by record collectors across the globe.
To commemorate the anniversary, the members of the band will be meeting at 2pm in the Sir Pickering Phipps pub in Wellingborough Road, Northampton, in which the band rehearsed. Members of the public are welcome to attend the gathering.
