Daventry care home to be replaced at '˜future date'
Northamptonshire County Council has been reviewing the future of care homes run through its company Olympus, including the Evelyn Wright home in Daventry.
The outcome of the review was discussed at the council’s cabinet meeting last week.

Hide AdThe county council said that: “Evelyn Wright House in Daventry will remain open until a new fit-for-purpose care home is built in Daventry, at which point all residents and staff will move into the new premises to ensure consistency of care.”
The council said the existing building will remain in the ‘short to medium’ term.
All Olympus Care facilies were reviewed, and Boniface House in Brixworth will be developed alongside the adjacent sheltered housing to increase facilities.
The council will also close the Ecton Brook care home in Northampton over a three-month period.
