Northampton Mind charity holding ‘time to talk’ fun-day to encourage people to chat
A Northampton mental health charity is hosting a fun-day in a bid to help more people talk openly.
Northampton and District Mind is hoping the ‘time to talk’ fun-day will raise awareness of mental health and how talking can help.

Hide AdStaff from the charity will be on hand on the day to lend an ear to anyone who wants to chat.
There will be a range of activities that will encourage participants to talk to each other as well.
Abbey Scullion, a social worker in training at Mind, said: “We want to raise awareness and get people talking to help support their mental health.
“Hopefully he will get people to talk to each other and to us.

Hide Ad“The day will also help us let people know we are here and what we offer, because some people don’t know.
“We are expecting regular service users but everyone else is getting quite involved too.
“Local businesses have been really generous and Virgin Active is coming in to host a well being session.”
The fun-day will be held at Northampton and District Mind’s building in Regent Square on Thursday February 6.
Between 10am and 4pm, there will be arts and crafts, board games, a coffee morning, cake and biscuit decorating, gardening, a music quiz, create your own pizza and mocktail making.
