In a post on the event’s website, organisers said: “The amount you have collectively raised will go a long way towards helping us climb out of the financial hole that losing this year’s income has left us in, and though we don’t really have the words to express our gratitude, we’ll give it a good crack anyway.
“The past few months have been incredibly tough for us – both financially and emotionally – but the support that you, our amazing community has shown us, has absolutely blown our minds.
“You came together and caught us when we were falling – and for that, we will be forever grateful.”

Shambala fans have been able give money towards different ‘pledges’ which include donating to improving the biodiversity of the festival site, entering raffles for tickets, CD bundles, art packages, behind the scenes tours and the chance to watch a headline act from the main stage.
Two opportunities to have the ‘Dream Shambala Wedding’ have also be snapped up for £10,000 a-piece.
Fans who were hoping to attend this year’s festival have also been able to roll their tickets over to next year, rather than claim refunds.
